She was a cast member of the reality television show The City.Palermo initially denied rumors in 2008 that she would be a part of The City, a spin-off the MTV's cultural phenomenon "The Hills" but was later confirmed as a cast member. She agreed to star in the series to familiarize herself with acting. She was signed to Wilhelmina Models in 2009 and also launched a jewelry line with Roberta Freymann in 2010. In February 2010 Olivia became a spokesmodel for Matches Fashion's Freda label ahead of London Fashion Week. On November 19, she told ELLE.com that she is working on her own reality show. She said, "I'm currently working on a TV project, my own show". The show will follow her launching her own fashion line.
The daughter of real estate developer of Italian descent Douglas Palermo and interior designer Lynn Hutchings, Palermo grew up between the Upper East Side, New York and Greenwich, Connecticut where she attended Nightingale-Bamford School then finally St. Luke's School, where she was on the field hockey team. She attended the American University of Paris for a year and studied media at The New School in New York.
She interned at Quest. Photographer Patrick McMullan spotted her at an auction, then took pictures of her about town. Palermo has taken part in many charity events in New York. Palermo found herself at the center of a controversy when she was accused of sending out a letter to fellow socialites pleading for acceptance. This letter was forwarded to the owners of the social website, SocialiteRank.com who promptly published it. Palermo immediately denied the authenticity of the letter and filed a lawsuit against the website. The website was eventually shut down and in May 2007, Palermo appeared on the cover of New York Magazine in a story about the incident.Palermo is a member of the Friends Committee of New Yorkers For Children and on the committee of Operation Smile. She has been dating model Johannes Huebl since 2008.

Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2, 1985) is an American actress and singer who rose to prominence portraying the candy-counter girl Maddie Fitzpatrick in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and the female antagonist Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical film series. The High School Musical series became a successful franchise which included two television films, a feature movie, a spin-off and numerous soundtrack albums. The popularity earned by Tisdale in High School Musical led her to sign a solo record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. Her debut album Headstrong, was released in February 2007, and debuted at number five in the U.S. chart and sold 64,000 copies in the first week. Tisdale was born in West Deal, Monmouth County, New Jersey on July 2, 1985,to Lisa (née Morris) and Mike Tisdale, the manager of a construction company. Her elder sister, Jennifer Tisdale, is an actress, and her maternal grandfather, Arnold Morris, developed the Ginsu Knives. Through her grandfather, Tisdale is also related to businessman Ron Popeil. She grew up in Ocean Township. She is Jewish on her mother's side and considers herself Jewish.
At the age of eight, she was cast to play the part of Cosette in a national touring production of the musical Les Misérables. "When I was little, I saw the play Les Misérables on Broadway, I thought it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen so I went to my manager and told him I wanted to be in it", said Tisdale in an interview to Newsday in 2007. She also claims to have had only a single singing lesson before landing the role. Tisdale toured for two years on Les Misérables before landing a role in an international touring production of Annie.
